Full steam ahead

Posters and leaflets are out. The office floor is covered with emptied cardboard boxes and myriad long strips of white plastic peelings from a thousand envelopes... It's all systems go for the BBC ballot which starts on Monday.

It looks like the ballot for strike action over threats of compulsory redundancy will go ahead, after management decided to press ahead with compulsory selection of members. Ballot papers will go out, Monday with a closing date of three weeks later.
